Cedardale Church welcomed a small group known as the "boys from Mexico" for the past season. This group of young men communicated only in Spanish which is the same first language as two Cedardale members, Karen V. and Pilar C.. Cedardale's Pastor Grant gave Sunday Spanish services all season with the help of Karen or Pilar as interpreters. For one Sunday in the summer, Cedardale member Alex M. was the interpeter as Alex and his wife Rosemary live in Mexico for part of the year. Cedardale had a final day in November with a lunch and prayer time to say farewell to new Mexican friends, Roman and Caesar. Roman (to the left) said, in English, how much he very much appreciated Papa and Mama (Gerry and Shirley Verdoold, Pastor Grant's parents) for transportation to Church and other events. Cedardale will always remember the joy, help and friendship that came with our Mexican friends.
